Easy Rider Nha Trang - Vietnam Motorbike Tour

Wing, the Driver
The Easy Riders trip was one of the best things, I highly recommend it!

Trips are available for all sorts of lengths and destinations. We chose a three day trip to Nha Trang. We could have done it in two days, but knew we would enjoy it so we made it three. People before have done one month long trips up the whole country! Now I can see why….
It’s a wonderful way to travel up Vietnam through open country roads, and have a unique experience. Each morning our luggage was bagged up and strapped to the back of the long distance, comfortable motorbike.

We met in the morning in Da Lat, my driver was called Wing, and he looked just as cool as I imagined an Easy Rider would! Straight away we took off for the open road, and very quickly we were out of town and driving through lush greenery with beautiful scenery around us. We drove along many green winding roads, sometimes through the clouds. Outskirts of Da Lat towards Lak Lake, and the Easy Riders were very good at stopping regularly for us to stretch our legs and take in some local culture or sight around us. At every stop, either Wing or Thai (Ben’s driver) would explain everything to us and answer all our questions. A fantastic source of local information – they were such lovely people! The second day we finished at Buon Ma Thuot, and the third day took us to Nha Trang.

Over the course of three days we stopped to see many many things such as a flower farm, coffee plantations, bamboo cutting (the lady used a very sharp knife and her teeth!), bamboo baskets being woven and bound, a silk factory where cocoons were boiled to release the silk. We stopped at two very impressive waterfalls, a rice wine production site, a family business that grew silk worms; feeding them mulberry leaves – she had trays and trays of worms! We saw a chopsticks factory. Just shows how resourceful everyone is. With bamboo and within agriculture, everything is used and recycled.

The next morning at half past eight we were both Easy Rider Tour Guides Phuong and Khoi and in front of the hotel waiting for us with joyful faces. In the time where we had breakfast yet at rest, the two grabbed our backpacks, waterproof, and strapped them on the bikes. When everything was stowed away, they missed us, our helmets and off we went. Our first stop was a waterfall, but which rather resembled an amusement park. There so many Vietnamese tourists were out, so that one could hardly have eyes for the beautiful nature. However, it went pretty far down hill to the lookout point and afterwards, of course, uphill, and so we had our spring sports already included.

Easy Rider Nha Trang - Vietnam Motorbike Tour

Famous for its kitesurfing, excellent beach, and relaxed vibe, Mui Ne is a popular stop in Vietnam on the long road between Hanoi and Saigon. Mui Ne is located on the eastern coast of Vietnam roughly halfway between Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and Nha Trang.
Mui Ne consists mainly of one tourist strip strung along two miles of beach. One end of the strip is dominated by large resorts, while the other end caters more to budget and midrange travelers. Clean sand and good surf make Mui Ne one of the best beaches in Vietnam.

Interesting highlights about Mui Ne Tour with Easy Rider Phuong

Ta Kou Mountain: Ta Kou Mountain – around 25 miles outside of Mui Ne – provides some excellent views of the coast. A 161-foot-long reclining Buddha – Vietnam’s longest – is housed at the top of the mountain.

White Dunes: Much resembling a desert, the White Dunes are 22 miles northeast of Mui Ne. Children rent plastic sleds for “surfing” down the towering sand dunes at high speed. The mammoth dunes are an oddity not to be missed.

Red Dunes: The Red Dunes are closer to Nui Ne, however they are not as tall as the White Dunes. The Red Dunes are interesting to explore, but save the sled rental for the more-impressive White Dunes.

Fairy Spring: Just three miles east of town, the Fairy Spring is little more than a muddy creek turned into tourist attraction. The small canyon and sedimentary rock formations are at least worth a look.

Thuy Tu Temple: Located in Phan Theit a few miles southwest of town, the Thuy Tu temple houses over 100 whale skeletons – some date to 150 years old. The temple was constructed in 1972 by the local fisherman.

Kite Surfing in Mui Ne
Mui Ne is a top kitesurfing and windsurfing destination in Southeast Asia; colorful kites fill the air between the months of November and April. Numerous schools dotted along the beach offer lessons, rentals, and camaraderie in a variety of languages.

Accommodation
Big resorts – mostly catering to large Russian crowds – tend to be clustered at the eastern end of the main road through Mui Ne. Prices and accommodation standards decline as you move west down the strip. Standards are high even for budget accommodation; rooms starting at US$ 8,00 per night include satellite television and Wi-Fi in the room.

Food
Thanks to the nearby fishing village, cheap seafood restaurants can be found all around Mui Ne.
